The most exciting thing that has happened since we last posted was that Kelly spent a couple hours in an internet cafe finally getting our photos posted and organized. http://picasaweb.google.com/jacob.dagger. They're sorted by city. We started to do some captions, but haven't finished yet.

Otherwise:

*Phnom Penh became the first city where we had to switch hotels because the first one we stayed in was so disgusting. It did have an awesome red light over the bed.

*We went to Tuol Sleng, a Khmer Rouge prison during Pol Pot's regime. Compared to the few other museums we've been to on the trip, it was actually really informative. Good gallery on the history, and others about the people who were affected.

*We flew to Bangkok, arriving after 10 p.m. Our connecting flight to Calcutta was supposed to leave around 9 a.m. Originally, we were thinking about spending the night in the airport. Then we thought about taking a bus into the city and staying there. Instead, we wisely decided to take the free shuttle to a hotel right by the airport and actually get some sleep. In the hotel's restaurant, Kelly was able to convince them to cook some plain vegetables for her, a huge victory.

*We met cousin Josh in the airport the next morning and flew to Calcutta. Spent what seemed like several days in taxis in traffic jams. But we got to eat a couple of good meals with various members of Josh's family, which was fun.

*Tourism checklist: Victoria Memorial, though we had to rush through the museum portion since Josh enjoys museums like Kelly does, not Jacob; drove across the Howrah Bridge, which was not that exciting, but Lonely Planet listed it as a "sight" so we're counting it.

*We have been watching a lot of the Australian Open, but we missed the men's final. Caught some highlights this morning. We didn't get to see the Super Bowl, though.

*We flew to Delhi. Our flight was scheduled for 8:40 when we bought the ticket. At the airport, they made us print out an itinerary to get inside--it listed the flight as 9:05. When we checked in, our tickets said 9:35. We took off around 10:20. Got in after midnight, but still managed to get a hotel relatively easily. And actually, after spending a day walking around Delhi, we think it was kind of nice and peaceful at 1 a.m.

*We have a train ticket for Agra (and the Taj Mahal) first thing tomorrow morning.
